Fable inspired by Raphaël Domjan
Raphaël Domjan, born on 19 January 1972 in Neuchâtel, is originally from Lausanne (Switzerland).
For this adventurer at heart, adventures and explorations are all about protecting our atmosphere, the only container for everything that lives on our planet.
He believes that we now have the knowledge and technologies to be sustainable, and to give true meaning to progress.
In 2012, he completed the first solar-powered world tour aboard his boat, PlanetSolar, a 35-meter catamaran covered with 540 square meters of high-performance solar panels.
In 2015, he launched the SolarStratos adventure, with which he hopes to realise Icarus’ dream by reaching the stratosphere using solar energy in his solar-powered aeroplane.
He is also involved in various humanitarian projects to promote the use of solar energy and energy independence in developing countries.
Today, Raphaël is an eco-explorer and lecturer who is committed, through his PlanetSolar foundation, to the promotion of solar energy in order to fight against climate change.
