Drink it, wear it
"Drink it, wear it" is inspired by Jason Chen, an innovative entrepreneur in the textile industry. Starting his career with just a degree in textile engineering, he founded his own company with a different vision: to produce textiles that not only provide comfort but also promote a healthy future. His remarkable innovation, in collaboration with Singtex, combines coffee grounds with textile production, an initiative now adopted by more than 100 international brands. In partnership with the world's largest coffee growers' cooperative, he is redefining the textile industry by turning to underutilized natural resources such as tea leaves, rice husks, and pineapple fibers. His approach inspires future generations to consider renewable resources for a sustainable world, demonstrating the enormous potential of what we consume and discard.

Fable inspired by Jason Chen
Jason Chen began his career as a textile manufacturer, after obtaining a degree in textile engineering. He decided to start his own company in 1989 and has since focused on functional textiles.
Unlike other producers who seek low-cost production anywhere in the world, he wanted to produce clothing that contributes to a comfortable and healthy future for humanity. In 2005, he and his team at Singtex began working on a blend of 400-nanometer coffee granules and plastic fibers. Today, this product is used by more than 100 international outerwear brands. The coffee grounds were initially collected from local stores, but as demand increased, a partnership was established with the National Federation of Coffee Producers of Colombia, the largest producers' cooperative in the world. They now work together to produce yarns and textiles from coffee to supply the local market with local products. Using coffee is just the first in a series of creative innovations Jason is considering. He believes tea leaves, rice husks and pineapple fibers will also offer further advancements towards creating a more sustainable textile industry.
