Inspired by

Cláudia is a marine biologist who has been working with fishing communities since 2007 as a freelancer. His work includes empowering the fishing community by promoting their active and meaningful participation in decision-making processes and supporting the organization of fishers, as well as ecosystem-based management.

She worked as a researcher at the University of Évora, where she monitored sea lamprey and shad fishing in rivers and at sea aboard fishing boats.

She also developed and coordinated an innovative patented fishing gear project mimicking the feeding behavior of humpback whales in bubble nets at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
